How do I hook up my Sony Blue Ray to my home theatre?

Posted by on July 3, 2010

I have a Samsung Home theatre and want the surround sound for my blueray player. I could just go direct to the TV, but not with surround sound. Direction unclear. Any help out there?

Everything (cable box, blu ray, etc) is connected to the Home theatre system inputs and the output of the home theater system goes to the TV. Turn the TV speakers off and use the home theater system for the sound.

depending on your home theater if it can input/output HDMI then use that, but if you want to hook just your audio to the home theater you’ll have to use a coaxial or optical cable from the blu-ray player to the home theater
