Is it possible to connect the AV cord of Home theatre to PC?
Is it possible to connect the AV cord of Home theatre or DVD Player to PC so that video signals of the player may be viewed on the computer moniter? Do modern Mother boards have TV Tuner Cards in them?
Yes, but more so… Video cards and Video capture cards.
I’m not an expert on video capture. I’m better at PC to home theater transfer not vise versa.
However it is very possible and I’m sure people below me will explain.
Good luck
More (home theater questions)? Just e-mail me. I have owned a home theater business.
While playing movies on my home theatre, why does the background music work, but the dialogue cannot be heard?
While playing DVD movies on my Samsung Home Theatre System, the background sounds and music work correctly, but the voice dialogue is either low and echoes or simply nonexistent. Is there a simple solution to this problem?
Check and make sure your center channel speaker is still working. That’s where most of the dialogue will be heard.

Manchester United`s Theatre of Dreams
Old Trafford Football Ground is located at – Sir Matt Busby Way, Old Trafford, Manchester. Sir Matt Busby Way was created in 1993, and was formerly known as Warwick Road North.
The ground’s nickname is the Theatre Of Dreams.
Old Trafford has been Manchester United’s home since 1910, with the exception of an eight-year period from 1941 to 1949, when it was bombed in the second world war. During that period United played their ‘home’ games at the ground of their rivals, Manchester City – at a financial cost of course. They had to pay City for the privilege consisting of a flat fee, and a gate percentage.

How do you connect a turntable through a home theatre system with no grounding pin?
I have a Technics direct drive turntable and a Sony 5.1 home theatre in a box setup.
My guess is that you do not have a turntable input. That is how most receivers are these days (which is a very stupid omission on the part of the manufacturers). If that is the case with yours, our going to have to buy separate a turntable preamp to go between the turntable and one of the inputs on the receiver. Phono inputs included on receivers are SPECIFICALLY AND ONLY designed for turntable use, nothing else. Failure to do so will result in almost no sound from the turntable and LOTS of hum … Read the rest
Can I use an home theatre system amplifier/receiver with a turntable to transfer my LPs to my PC?
I have an Akai turntable without a built-in amplifier & would like to transfer my LP’s to my PC. Do I need to buy a separate amplifier or can I use the amplifier/receiver from a home theatre system?
You should be able to go directly from the turntable to the PC with the proper cable.
Adding the home theater amplifier would just be an extra step that could degrade the signal.
Can you use a home theatre system as just an ipod sound sytem without a TV?
I was thinking of buying a Sony DAV-HDX275 home theatre system merely to use as a cd player/iPod player. Can I do this or must it be hooked up to a TV to work?
You can do that but the effects that make surround sound work are encoded in movies. (THX and Dolby Surround.) You do not have the same effects on cd or ipod. These are stereo only music sources. Your tv has nothing to do with the sound other than to maybe see what you are doing to set up the system and of course watch movies and television.

why does our tv channel change when we put the home theatre louder when watching a dvd?
we hooked up a home theatre system to our tv, but whenever we’re watching a dvd and want to put it louder the channel changes, and also when we put the radio on of the home theatre system the tv switches on.
Looks like your TV and the home theater share some IR commands. Rare, but not unusual.
When it is time to watch a DVD, put a little cardboard in front of the IR receiver in the TV, this should fix your problem.

I recently purchased a PS3 , and I was trying to hook it up to my home theatre system. It is currently hooked directly into the tv via the HDMI cable….which is by-passing the home theatre system. I wish to include the home theatre system, I attempted to use an optical audio cable from the console to the home theatre but it didn’t work…any suggestions…we would like to watch our blue-ray movies in full surround sound.
